It doesn't stick because a one-off workshop is an event, not a habit. I don't drop in, deliver a presentation, and leave you with a binder. I look at the small, daily things: how the team handles a mistake, how feedback gets given, where communication breaks down under pressure, and work the change into the routines you already have, so it happens over time instead of feeling forced.
My team is already stretched thin and exhausted. Won't this just feel like more work for them?
That's the last thing I want. If it feels like a burden, it's already failed. The job isn't to add to the to-do list: it's to find what's draining people and clear it. I look at the friction and the bottlenecks causing the burnout in the first place, so the day-to-day actually starts to feel lighter.
